Floyd Mayweather Jr Vs Manny Pacquiao Prediction

This is the prediction about the fight of the century between mayweather jr against pacman pacquiao. It did not take Miguel Cotto that much time to make a prediction of his own as far as the Floyd Mayweather Jr. vs. Manny Pacquiao mega bout is concerned. And surprisingly, he favored Pacquiao to win it all over the undefeated American boxer. This came after the 34-year-old boxer said that he would not make a fearless forecast. But in a report from the New York Post, Cotto made mention of Pacquiao trainer Freddie Roach as one of the reasons why he is picking Pacquiao over Mayweather. Cotto made the call in Manhattan during a meeting announcing his signing with Roc Nation. Cotto has fought both Mayweather and Pacquiao and lost on both occasions.

Cotto fought and lost to Pacquiao in November, 2009 while also losing to Mayweather in May, 2012 via unanimous decision. Aside from Roach, who he credits working with in his last two fights, Cotto believes that Pacquiao's speed is another advantage that makes him a favorite over Mayweather. While those are key advantages for the Filipino fighter, the next matter is on whether he could catch up to Floyd who is expected to punch and run throughout the fight. Cotto is just one of many boxers and analysts who have given their own piece, choosing the boxer that would eventually come out on top. Based on the responses, it seems that everyone is pretty much divided. Aside from Cotto, Mike Tyson and Evander Holyfield have made their predictions as well. Tyson believes that Mayweather will have to fight if he is to survive Pacquiao. For his part, Holyfield believes that for Pacquiao to win the fight, he must corner Mayweather.

Though he believes that this could be easier said than done, he adds that Pacquiao must take chances on May 2 if he is to hand Mayweather the first defeat of his career. Never at a loss for words and always his pupils' biggest cheerleader, Hall of Fame trainer Freddie Roach recently insisted his fighter, Manny Pacquiao, will stop Floyd Mayweather inside the distance May 2. Roach says Floyd will not be able to endure Pacquiao's assault for twelve rounds and will ultimately succumb late in the battle. The trainer's comments are not surprising. After all, he's not exactly going to predict a loss. What is a bit surprising is his recent admission to Skip Bayless that Floyd may have triumphed had Mayweather vs Pacquiao taken place five years ago, soon after the public demand rumblings began. "Five years ago, maybe Floyd would've beaten Manny." "[But] Manny has more heart right now. You really don't realize just how fast Manny is or how hard he hits until you actually get hit by him." Trainer Roach believes the 38 year old Mayweather's legs are shot and that he will have no answer for Pacquiao's speed, fire power and tenacity. Are Floyd's legs shot? If so, will he have a Plan B on May 2? Keep in mind, he spent most of his first fight on the ropes against the heavy-handed Marcos Maidana, often trading with the dangerous Argentine. If Floyd is not agile enough to outbox Manny, look for him to implement a Plan B, whatever that plan will be. If Manny is able to effectively and consistently corner and trap Mayweather in the first three rounds, would it be safe to say the fight is pretty much over or would you expect Floyd to make the necessary adjustments and rally back as he did against Maidana?
